At Last Meal, we are committed to creating culinary memories with these elements in mind. Guided and informed by the flavours from our founder’s Southeast Asian childhood, Last Meals’ premium handcrafted products make every dish ‘Last Meal’ worthy by embodying nostalgia and comfort.
As an immigrant to New Zealand, my mother always made sure my siblings and I were connected to our Malaysian heritage through food. The image of us sitting at the counter while she plated a delicious stirfry from a smoking hot wok, or the countless hours we spent prepping vegetables by the sink, are fossilised in my memory.
Now I find comfort in the culinary values and rituals established in by my mother. As an avid home chef and foodie, I sought to establish Last Meal in 2021 with the intention to share my passion for food, culinary rituals and to honour my mother’s culinary legacy. This is my love letter to her.
